Experience the Magic of short theatre

What to expect!

Vintage Creative Therapies (VCT) presents ‘shorts@theMill’, a season of short theatre pieces showcasing the older actor.

All pieces are new works from local community writers who vary in age from 45 through to 95 and highlight unique stories or experiences from the point of view of the older person.!

7 Short stories

Each piece has a duration of 12 minutes or under and includes:


‘Mute' : Silence louder than words

‘Not me’ : A timely intervention to stop a rogue elf

‘Losing Touch’ : Where does reality start and finish

‘Dogged’ : A new take on a ‘best friend’ relationship

‘Goodbye Katherine’ : An odd choice for a final resting place

‘Archie & Martha’ : A good bath leads to surprising consequences

‘Nurses Dilemma’ : When things come back to bite you


Showcasing community talent:

Come and watch some amazing performances from older performers and writers including Essie Michelsen, June James, Karolina Kaczorowska, Donny Raets, Liz Windsor, Bob Brady, Rose Johnson and Alan Hendry.
